Job Description:
Job position: Flight Director
No. of positions: 5
Job role and responsibilities: Acts as single point-of-contact and control over aerostat mission support activity during assigned work shift, including direct control of all crew activity relative to aerostat pre-launch, launch, ascent, transition, operation on station, recovery, mooring and moored operations (maintenance and top-off).
Job position: Flight Engineer
No. of positions: 5
Job role and responsibilities: The Aerostat Flight Engineer (FE) is responsible for observing and maintaining communications between the aerostat system and the Ground Control Station (GCS). The FE monitors the telemetry data from the aerostat while it is at altitude, monitors the data from the mooring platform and the real time weather conditions on the flight pad. The FE stays in close contact with and communicates data to the flight director if the director is not on site. The FE has the authority to call members of the flight crew to the site if conditions change, requiring recovery of the aerostat for weather or maintenance reasons.
Job position: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
No. of positions: 15
Job role and responsibilities: Engineer with mechanical or aeronautical engineering background. Must have worked on VTOL systems (Helicopters), and have demonstrable experience in suitable for air certifications. Must have experience in flying helicopters, and hold valid flying license. Experience with flight simulators either as a trainer or a trainee is very desirable.
Job position: Field Service Technician
No. of positions: 5
Job role and responsibilities: The Aerostat Field Service Technician (FST) is the senior-level technical support person responsible for all aspects of aerostat system maintenance. This position is a direct liaison between the system / component manufacturer and the system operators and requires strong technical and leadership skills. The FST reviews, troubleshoots and communicates problems to ensure that issues impacting system performance are quickly and accurately diagnosed and corrected
Job position: Aerostat Operator / Winch operator
No. of positions: 5
Job role and responsibilities: Applies working technical knowledge to the overall aerostat system to accomplish routine operations and maintenance activities by following established instructions and procedures.
