PROJECT
PROJECT 1:
Aerodynamic and Structural Design of 1+10 EXECUTIVE AIRCRAFT
DESIGN SPEACILITY
Our design provides maximum comfort to its passengers and also accommodates their luggage and accessories. With Turboprop engine, this design has its unique features such as high classed executive cabin comfort with serving tables and television sets radio communication and satellite phones. The engines have been selected such that it is possible provide maximum range with less fuel consumption.
PROJECT 2:
Analysis of Unsteady Aerodynamics on Dragonfly using CFD & The Effect of Flapping Trajectories on it.
The scope of the project is to study the unsteady flow structure and flapping trajectories of three-dimensional model using CFD. A dragon fly model was created in CATIA and imported into GAMBIT. A fine volume mesh was created on the body. The meshed model is analyzed in FLUENT. Unsteady aerodynamics around the wing is studied using a time accurate solution of the three dimensional incompressible, laminar Navier Stokes equations.
The dragonfly varies the angle of attack by rotating the wing around its axis. It is adopted from a literature data. The motion of the wing is described using the defined functions. The vortices and pressure distribution for various flapping trajectories are compared and the lift producing mechanicsm is inferred.
Using present numerical simulation, the variations in dragonfly’s lift and drag force coefficients with the flapping trajectories are analyzed. The most efficient of the flapping trajectory is identified on the basis of aerodynamic and structural efficiency, which has the potential to be, implemented in the future Micro Air Vehicles.
